Yamaha XJR 1300 Café Racer by On The Wheels Hats
The Yamaha XJR 1300 was entitled to a small transformation into Café Racer pampered for almost 15 years by its unique house owner.
Its owner is the sentimental genre … Having cracked his student loan to acquire an XJR 1300 October 99, the young man spent a little over 15 years to the pampered “before deciding to give it a facelift … or rather old “as he told us and it is in Finistère, in the workshops of On The Wheels Of Hats (SLCDR), that took place the transformation. More used to work on older machines, SLCDR the challenge with gusto, even if the confession of its owner, the wait has been too long. And we are willing to believe as the Yamaha XJR 1300 Café Racer required a work of craftsmanship that lasted five months.
Deconstructed and rebuilt from A to Z, the XJR therefore receives a pure style Café Racer with its modified BMW bubble, its tailor-made wheel hubs and her little handmade aluminum backsplash (like the spider and saddle leather true). The sticks in wheels of 17 inch diameter have given way to radiated 18-inch wheels and it may also be noted that the optical front comes from a Honda Transalp. The rest of the parts were obtained from LSL to the handlebars, available from Braking to the master cylinder and at motogadget for the counter block.
But in the opinion of the owner, if he were to change anything it would be to graft him a dual seat so that her daughters could each turn, enjoy a ride as a passenger on the CR dad.
