Only one year to be submitted for the first time to the public Suzuki Gixxer and very little have it already in our country, in India arose the Gixxer SF, a version housed with a sportier look clear. The SF as says the Japanese manufacturer, was designed in the same wind tunnel that machines like the Hayabusa, the GSX-R and MotoGP models, thus providing excellent protection against the wind, reducing turbulence and friction; all this is reflected in improved aerodynamic efficiency.
The SF model is a motorcycle that shares the same 155cc propeller and part cycle with the Gixxer that we already know and referenced in the Publimotos magazine in the issue 131 may of this year. All the features that can be seen of this new model, are designed to give it a sporty appearance of first, as the large Japanese household machines, starting with cover in aluminium of futuristic-looking at the exhaust end, the design on the front with an imposing street lamp, a small dome windshield and integrated rear-view mirrors to cowling and some yellow stripes on the wheels and cowl which somehow make allusion to the model GSX-RR that we currently see on the slopes of the highest category of motorcycling.
It was too tempting for Suzuki India not to launch a model such as the Suzuki Gixxer SF 2015. In essence a Suzuki Gixxer naked with fairing and colors of the Official MotoGP team, a sport bike perfectly adapted to the needs and pockets of the average Indian biker is achieved. In fact it costs 83.439 Indian rupees, about 1,100 euros to change.
The DNA of the Suzuki GSX-R is embodied in the fairing Suzuki Gixxer SF, which incidentally still has the same features of the naked. Far from targeting is the latest technology mounts the same single cylinder engine 155 cc air-cooled four-stroke, powered by carburetor and associated with a 5-speed gearbox. This configuration makes 14.8 HP at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm at 6000 rpm, which combines well with its 139 kilos of weight in running order. The deposit is 12 liters.
It also draws attention that does not update the rear drum brake, so it’s one sport in aesthetic but not in its dynamics. Also shows it the high position of the handlebar. You try to arrange with your mono rear with 7 adjustment of preload, full digital instrumentation and an apparent 2 into 1 exhaust so it is half way a model between low-cost and step to a more ambitious product.
