Thanks to the Maxitest that brings together with international market a wealth of information about motorcycles, scooters, helmets, tires without equal on all models of the market. Today, we have validated the owner of a BMW F 700 GS Maxitest. A trail perfect daily as in ride, but not free -small – defects.
After the long time about 6 years and 90,000 miles with a R1200 GS, I chose the BMW 700 GS because I wanted to have a bike that lighter and less greedy fuel. BMW responded perfectly to my waiting with more an ease of conduct rather astonishing.
With my specifications BMW 700 GS totally in line is a motorcycle that I take with great pleasure irrespective of the distance and weather. The original bubble, like confetti, required replacement with a high bubble to consider long steps apart from this, the General ergonomics is excellent.
Here is no possible adjustment of lighting that should loosen screws of fixations of optics to do! Yet Solo lighting is excellent.
A slight soft rear brake and ABS too insensitive to the front. Generally, the braking is good, but it does not reach the excellence of the GS1200R. It equipped with Michelin Anakee 3 of origin, I find this Monte quite safe but very slow to reach its optimal operating temperature is perfect. When it is not reached, these tires are a little vicious on a wet highway.
Having stretchy and sufficient horsepower on a wide range of schemes, the twin suffers however small anemia after idling causing risks of stalls when you want to start on a net of gas.
In generally opinion BMW is not the most steadfast as bike brand, nor the most reactive to settle small defects, however the service is thoughtful. Except this is my dealer like as!
Some things make it adoptable like its ingesting, consumption, spacing of amendments and cost of insurance make this bike reasonably economic.
