Discover the new Baptist F150 is one of the many bikes including the new Pulsars are aligned by Bajaj Auto for the rest of the year. Industry reports that the new discovery would be launched at the end of this month.
Previous spy shots showed that the characteristics of a suburban semi fairing come with a whole new identity and thus could be called to discover F150. The F150 would only discover the semi-faired bike commuter in the country, if the Honda CBF Stunner and badge lighter engineering heroes, small displacement sport bikes are not counted.
Register for the fairing, the F150 inherits its design cues from the 125 to see ST.
Mr. Rajiv Bajaj, Managing Director, Bajaj Auto, said that even if 80% of suburban segment consists of 100 cc motorcycles, means that the size of the segment, there is enough room for the F150 discover to be positioned as a suburb premium.
Rather than simply beautifying the old bike and recovery, Bajaj believes he developed a new bike. It is still not known whether the new bike uses a detuned version of the engine’s Pulsar 150 or would a clean heart.
Bajaj Auto has announced first quarter earnings today that symbolizes much of the fight as the creator of two-and three-wheelers has been facing in recent years. Net profit of the company amounted to 740 billion rupees, flat compared with the Rs over-year due to the rising costs of labor and materials. Analysts on average expected net profit of Rs 816 crore, poor financial performance of the company, combined with a constant loss in the two-wheeler segment has led analysts wondering when and if the company would recover its lost share.
During the quarter April to July, TVS motor has exceeded the Baptist as a manufacturer of two-wheelers third country behind the hero MotoCorp India and Honda. But Bajaj, which received flak for not launching new products fast enough and its decision to not reinstate the revitalized space scooter (a market it once dominated), things can continue to remain difficult for coming quarters before we can look for signs of recovery. The great efforts of the company focused on the Discover segment commuter bike, which has seen its market share stands at 24 percent to 12 percent over the past 10 quarters. In an interview to CNBC TV18, chief financial officer of the company Kevin D’Sa said he hoped that the fortunes of the Discover brand would return with the launch of a new variant 150 cc. But he warned that results of the launch would not be immediate. “I would be very conscious, saying that if the 12 percent held immediately prior to the 18-20 percent the last two quarters, I have my reservations,” he said.
In addition, D’Sa said that margins for the discovery of new would be lower than Baptiste focuses on adding many features to the bike and look like attractive price. “The intention of discover 150 is not only to get the market share, but also to get the reputation of clients,” he said. Also, when the company held its Pulsar about 44 percent market share in the segment, the segment itself has taken a severe blow during the economic recession of the past two years. But sales of ATVs, coupled with strong growth in exports, have chosen to society, and exports contributing over 40% of its sales, it remains a very profitable business. But in accordance with lukewarm performance at the national level, the stock has outperformed Bajaj not the overall market, rising about 12 percent this year, compared with about 32% increase for the benchmark.
